# Cold Email for Physiotherapists: Get More Self-Pay Patients

Most physio practices rely on GP referrals and word of mouth. Both work, but they're passive and unpredictable. Cold email opens three new channels: corporate wellness contracts, sports club partnerships, and direct B2B referrals.

Corporate Wellness Partnerships

Office workers are your biggest untapped market. Lower back pain, neck problems, RSI, and posture issues are epidemic in desk-based jobs. Every office near your practice has employees dealing with these problems.

Email local businesses offering a corporate physio service: discounted assessment sessions for their staff, on-site desk ergonomic assessments, or a monthly visit where employees can book 15-minute consultations.

Frame it as a productivity investment. "Musculoskeletal issues are the leading cause of workplace absence in the UK. A quick 15-minute assessment can catch problems before they become time off work."

Sports Club Partnerships

Search Google Maps for sports clubs, rugby clubs, football teams, running clubs, CrossFit boxes, and martial arts gyms in your area. These organisations need a go-to physio for their members.

Offer a partnership: discounted rates for their members, presence at their events, or a free injury clinic once a month. One partnership with a busy rugby club can generate 5-10 new patients per month.

Referral Networks

Email other healthcare providers who serve the same patients but don't compete: GPs (obviously), but also chiropractors, osteopaths, sports massage therapists, podiatrists, and personal trainers. A simple email proposing reciprocal referrals builds relationships that generate patients for years.

The Email

Keep it under 80 words. Be specific about what you offer and who benefits. "Hi, I run [practice name], a physiotherapy practice 5 minutes from your office. We offer corporate physio assessments for local businesses — a 15-minute session per employee to catch posture and musculoskeletal issues before they become sick days. Would it be worth a quick chat?"
